Hacking, A Bad Thing?

Most People think of hacking as a harmful thing (people accessing your files, making your computer go haywire, finding out your personal credit card information), but in reality, it is not what you may think. All hacking really is, is manipulating computers or programs to do certain things that it would not normally do. I will give an example and a step-by-step instruction on how to do a helpful hack. Take note though, this could be used for harmful purposes. Yes, I did come up with this by myself, and I'm sure that others have thought of this.

-Logging Onto Any Windows Account Without A Password-

Note - this only works on Windows XP as far as I know

Have you ever completely forgotten your password to your Windows account? Well, most have. Another scenario, have you just been itching to find out what is on somebody else's account? Here is the solution.

Turn on the computer. Right as it is booting up press the ESC button. It should go into a menu with something about what you want to boot. Select "Hard Drive". Now it should should ask you something about which Mode you want to boot in. Select "Safe Mode". The computer will go to the user select screen now. Select the user "Administrator". While in Administrator mode, go to Start>Control Panel>User Accounts>Change An Account. You can then take off any users password from there. Use this process wisely =)

Do you know any helpful hacks? Please share them with me!

All Tastes, All Genres

I know that food and music have nothing to do with each other really, but I decided to put them together in this post nonetheless. First of all, if you already love to try every kind of food along with every kind of music, this post has nothing to do with you. I think that every person should on purpose try out new foods and music. Heck, not just food and music, but everything in general. People seem to have this conversation a lot "Do you like this kind of food?" "No" "Have you ever tried it?" "Nope" "Then how do you know you don't like it...?" The point is, try all the kinds of food you can, and you may discover some really interesting flavors that you might come to love! On to music. I am personally a connoisseur of every genre or type of music. I generally listen to rock more than anything, although rock has a very broad range of styles incorporated into it. There is Punk, Metal, Classic, Industrial, Pop-rock, Glam, and many more on the list. I think it is very important to listen to every genre though. If you absolutely cannot stand a certain genre, then that is understandable. The reason I believe it is so important to broaden the horizon on the genres of music that you listen to is because each genre has its own lyrical style, beats, insights, culture, etc. You know what they say, having your child listen to Mozart makes that child smart! So get out there and open your taste buds and your ears! Oh, and one more thing, please post any good suggestions of food and/or music that you think I or anybody else might enjoy and that you think people have yet to try =)

The World's Downhill Movement

The world is constantly trying to improve itself. Better technology, cures for disease, transportation, etc. Is all of this really helping the world, on the other hand, is it hurting it? You see, think about the "pilgrims" era. Was there excessive killing, raping, stress, suicide, drugs? No. There might have been some, yes, but that is only natural because there will always be people that are "bad". Oh, and don't think that I'm against technology or anything. That is the farthest thing from it. In fact, I want to help make technology better. I am planning on being a computer scientist, in fact. After all, I am on the computer right now, am I not? Anyway, back to the subject at hand. The real subject. Turn on the news and 99% of the things reported on are bad. The world is in a downward spiral with nothing powerful enough to stop it. Well, of course it would stop if everyone miraculously was consciencious about the worlds problems and did something about it immediately. In reality though, which we are in, there is nothing that is going to stop it. People everyday try to innovate in a new way to make better products, trying to make the world closer to perfection. This is the most fictional ideas that man has yet to come up with. Think about it, why do people always refer to the past as "the good old days". Grandpa said, "Remember back in the good old days when we didn't lock our doors, the kids could walk anywhere around town without us worrying, the air was cleaner, sky bluer", and on and on the list went. That's not the point though, because like I already said, "the world is in a downward spiral with no stopping it". The only thing we can really do is help to slow it down. If everyone just pitched in to do their own part in the restoration of the world. So, in conclusion, do you agree, and how do you think each person can contribute to make the world a better place?
